FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: Where do your tours depart from? A: Most of our tours depart from Jabiru Airport in Kakadu National Park. We also offer departures from Darwin and Cooinda — check your tour details when booking, or feel free to contact us to confirm.
Q: Does everyone get a window seat? A: Absolutely! Everyone is guaranteed a window seat!
Q: How far is Jabiru from Darwin? A: Jabiru is about a 3-hour drive (250 km) east of Darwin, along the Arnhem Highway. The road is sealed and suitable for all vehicles. There’s plenty to see along the way, including wetlands and billabongs!
Q: Do I need to book in advance? A: Yes, we recommend booking ahead — especially during the dry season (May to October) when flights fill up quickly. Same-day bookings are sometimes available but not guaranteed.
Q: What’s the difference between the wet and dry seasons? A: •The dry season (May–October) brings blue skies, cooler temps, and easier access to most of Kakadu’s sites. Wildlife is abundant near the billabongs. •The wet season (November–April) transforms the landscape with waterfalls, lush greenery, and dramatic storm skies — it's spectacular from the air. Some roads may be closed, but flights offer access to otherwise unreachable spots. Both seasons offer a unique and unforgettable experience.
Q: What happens if there’s bad weather? A: Your safety is our top priority. If weather conditions aren’t suitable, we’ll do our best to reschedule your flight or offer a refund. We’ll always keep you updated. Q: What happens if there’s bad weather? A: Your safety is our top priority. Q: Do you have a minimum number of passengers? A: Some tours require a minimum number to operate. If you’re travelling solo, get in touch — we’ll do our best to match you with an existing group.
Q: What if I have limited mobility? A: Passengers must be able to board the aircraft with minimal assistance. Our team is happy to help where we can, but we don’t have lifting equipment. If you or someone in your group has mobility concerns, please let us know in advance so we can assist safely and comfortably.
Q: Is there a weight limit for passengers? A: Yes. For safety reasons, we require passenger weights at the time of booking. If anyone in your group is over 130 kg, please let us know — it may affect seating or aircraft type.
Q: Can children fly? A: Absolutely. We welcome children of all ages on our scenic flights. Children under 3 years may need to sit on a parent’s lap — let us know their age when booking. Children aged 4 to 13 years are eligible for child pricing. Children under 4 may travel for free on a parent’s lap (depending on the flight).
